About Eastgate Shopping Centre, Inverness

Eastgate Shopping Centre is located in Inverness in the north of Scotland. The centre has over 60 shops and 1,350 parking spaces.

The centre serves as the main shopping destination for the Highlands of Scotland and therefore has one of the largest shopping catchment areas in Europe. Although, given the low population density of the Highlands the number of people in the catchment is relatively low.

The shopping centre was built in 1983 and has been extended twice in 1993 and in 2003.

The centre is anchored by Marks & Spencer and Debenhams.

Monday to Friday: 9.00am - 5.30pm

Saturday: 9.00am - 6.00pm

Sunday: 11.00am - 5.00pm

Travel and parking

By car: The A9 south links Inverness with Edinburgh and Glasgow, Scotland's capital city and largest city respectively. It continues north across the Kessock Bridge to the Northern Highlands of Scotland. To the east, the A96 links Inverness to the seaside holiday resort of Nairn and on to Aberdeen. To the south-west, the A82 winds along beautiful Loch Ness to Fort Augustus on to Fort William, and linking with the route to the romantic Isle of Skye.

Nearest train station: Inverness Railway Station is located next to the Eastgate Shopping Centre.
