About One New Change, City of London, London

One New Change was developed by Land Securities and opened on 28 October 2010. The shopping centre costs around £500m to complete and is the first shopping centre to open in the City of London for 130 years.

One New Change was designed by French modernist architect, Jean Nouvel.

One New Change is the major shopping destination in the City of London, which has historically seen very little retail trade during the weekend period. This shopping centre is attempting to change this, attracting weekend shoppers as well as the large office population throughout the week.

The major stores at the scheme include Banana Republic, Foyles, M&S Simply Food, Hugo Boss. Gordon Ramsey and Jamie Oliver both have restaurants at the scheme, with Jamie Oliver also having his own butchers.

The development has more than 6,000 floor-to-ceiling glass panes, and as well as the retail units it also includes 330,000 sq feet of office space.
